Sharry Byrd-Wilson

I am a clinical counsellor who is passionate about my work. I use warmth, empathy and humour to connect. Change is possible with support, intention and action. The starting point is asking for help. That’s where I come in.

I earned an undergraduate degree in Human Relations at Carleton University and Master of Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. My intensive internship was with the City of Ottawa Employment Assistance Program where I provided individual counselling to those in professions such as public transportation, law enforcement, health care, social services and others.  I also participated in group organizational health events. I have over 20 years of experience working in the health and wellness industry. I have training and experience in various evidence-based therapies and I will tailor treatment to match each and every individual.

I have specialized training with traumatic grief, post- partum depression, menopause, domestic abuse, low self esteem, chronic stress, anxiety and depression. As well, I have earned further education and have had the privilege to work in the field of Gerontology for over a decade which allows me to share unique insight to provide aging in place, senior solutions and care giver guidance and support.  I pursue ongoing clinical supervision and continuing education as part of my professional development.

Dedicated to your Health and Well Being
